Island Luxury Hotel was founded by an individual named Zyad, who had a humble upbringing and worked long hours in a tuna factory to support his family and educate his siblings. Zyad's journey eventually led him to the world of tourism, where he saw an opportunity to create a unique and sustainable business. His first foray into entrepreneurship was creating Secret Paradise, a local tour company in the Maldives, along with a business partner. Secret Paradise believes that a great local guide makes the difference between a good holiday and a memorable one. Since 2012, they specialized in providing sustainable experiences and tours that leave lasting memories in the Maldives.
With this background, Zyad's vision expanded, and he ventured into the hotel industry with Island Luxury Hotel. He traveled throughout the islands looking for the perfect place to materialize this vision when he found Horsburgh Atoll and eventually made Fulhadhoo his new home.
His goal was to provide an authentic Maldivian experience deeply rooted in the local culture and community while preserving the rich traditions and environment of the Maldives. Zyad's dedication to sustainability and responsible tourism has shaped Island Luxury's mission, making it a unique and meaningful destination for travelers seeking a genuine connection with the Maldives.
