Idhy and Nisa Latheef
Meet Idhy and Nisa Latheef, the driving forces behind Island Zephyr. Their adventure began with a business trip to Goidhoo Island in the Maldives back in 2015, which quickly turned into a life-changing experience. In 2016, despite an uncertain future and lack of a concrete business plan, Idhy followed his instincts and made a bold move to start anew on this mesmerizing island.
As the couple explored various corners of paradise, including the entrancing Fulhadhoo, Goidhoo carved a unique and irreplaceable place in their hearts. Its entrancing charm and welcoming spirit resonated deeply with them, and subsequently with their family, who joined in this extraordinary voyage. Together, they've woven themselves into the vibrant tapestry of the island community, merging their dreams with the dynamic pulse of Goidhoo. Their connection to the island led them to integrate themselves and their family into the community, helping shape Goidhoo's future.
Idhy and Nisa's passion for the island led them to create Island Zephyr. Originally comprised of two buildings, they had to let go of one during the tough times of the Covid era, when tourism declined. Now, they reside in the remaining building, welcoming guests and introducing them to the authentic island lifestyle.
Island Zephyr isn't just a place to stay; it's an experience. Idhy and Nisa take pride in sharing Goidhoo's vibrant traditions, inviting guests to participate in local events and exciting activities like crab hunting. They aim to foster a deep connection between their visitors and the island's heritage, creating a unique and personal experience for everyone who steps foot on Goidhoo.
