This service is operated by Atoll Cute Ferry Service and Hiyaa Ferry Service. Atoll Cute Ferry Service runs from Saturday to Thursday, providing ample opportunities to plan your trip. Hiyaa Ferry Services also transfers daily from Malé to the Horsburgh Atoll. The duration of each trip typically ranges from 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on prevailing weather conditions. Be aware that the journey can be quite rough during certain times of the year, so we advise travelers to take sea sickness medication beforehand.

The second travel option to the atoll is to book a seaplane flight, which takes approximately 30 minutes from Malé to reach the atoll. Booking a private transfer is possible, but by arranging with our team at HATA in advance we can help organize a shared seaplane to decrease cost and stress of travel. We recommend contacting our team far in advance to coordinate schedules and availability of the seaplane crossing.
The final option for travel to the Horsburgh Atoll includes a short 25-minute plane journey from Male to Dharavandhoo Airport, where you can then take a 45 minute speed boat to the atoll. The advantage of this option is that you can spend some time in Dharavandhoo snorkeling with manta rays and whale sharks during the season from April - August before departing to the Horsburgh Atoll if you arrange this in advance with HATA. A private speedboat from Dharavandhoo typically costs around $300 for up to 15 passengers. If you reserve in advance there may be other passengers willing to share the cost.
